A message from the Chairman – help secure City now and for the future

Last week we received the bad news that Bath & North East Somerset Council chose to reject our planning application that would have led to around £54m investment in Twerton and ensured our survival and sustainability for the future. This already meant a serious threat to our existence.

As you all know, this week things have become worse, as the Covid-19 crisis means we can’t play games, generate bar revenue, or host events or meetings. We are down to around just 10% of our expected income and currently have very limited ways to deal with this situation.

We’re determined to get through this and are exploring all possible avenues and planning a concerted fundraising drive, along similar lines to the Big Bath City Bid, which we will let you know about as soon as possible. But in the meantime, we’re calling on you to help the Club in whatever way you can, subject to your own key priorities.

We know these are challenging and worrying times for everyone, and for as long as we can we’ll continue to help our own local and supporter communities, players and staff in every way we can. Look out for a further announcement about this tomorrow. But without significant Government and League assistance, which may be forthcoming but may take some time, we will soon be struggling financially in the short and long term, which includes paying our bills and people.

If you can, here’s what you could do to help:

Renew your season ticket for 2020-21
Season tickets are available to buy now and you’ll save at least 28% against the regular matchday price. We now fully expect to be at Twerton Park throughout 2020-21, but if for any reason there’s a relocation – or indeed a shortened season – we’ll give you the option of a refund for any affected matches. Show your commitment to Bath City’s future by clicking now

Buy tickets for the remainder of the 2019-20 season
We can’t be sure what’s going to happen this season, but if you planned to come along to any of the matches anyway, why not buy the tickets now to help the Club keep going? If the games end up being cancelled or you can’t make the new dates, we can give you credits for other future matches. Buy match tickets now
