The contract of Anthony Straker has been cancelled by mutual consent to enable him to sign for a club closer to home. Whilst we are sad to see Strakes leave us here at Bath City FC, we totally understand the change in his personal situation with his partner due to give birth in October meaning he would find travelling from his home on the south coast a lot more challenging. A transfer fee has been agreed with Havant and Waterloovile FC.

Jerry commented “I would like to thank Strakes for his commitment and professionalism since I became manager. He was not only our captain but a great personality within the group, popular with staff, players and supporters.”

All at Bath City FC would like to wish Strakes and his family best wishes for the future and he will always be welcome back at Twerton Park.

On leaving, Strakes said “Writing this with nothing but good memories but an addition to my family life has led me to having to move on from the club and find football closer to home. I’d like to thank the boys of the last two years for giving their all and being a pleasure to lead out every week. To the Gaffer, Jim, and the playing staff for always providing the best for us to make it easier to play on match days. Paul Williams from day one always approachable and willing to help with any problems you may come across. And finally, to the fans for welcoming me as a Roman from the beginning and backing me and the boys every week. All the best for next season to everyone at Bath City FC.”
