Match Preview – Larkhall Athletic (A) – Pre-Season Friendly

We begin our pre-season campaign tomorrow evening with the short trip to face Larkhall Athletic at Plain Ham Stadium.

PREVIOUS MEETINGS

Bath City have played Larkhall six times in pre-season, winning all six. Their most recent visit was just under a year ago when a Jordan Alves first half free-kick separated the sides. The last trip to Plain Ham for a competitive game was in September 2023. In front of a record 1,000 crowd at the stadium, City recovered from 2-0 down inside 11 minutes to win 3-2 thanks to two Cody Cooke penalties and a Jordan Thomas screamer.

• Matt Bowman, signed for the Romans from Larkhall last October, netted in the cup tie for Larkhall to put the hosts 2-0 up.
• Before joining City in 2018, Joe Raynes was on Larkhall’s books in the 2015/16 and 2016/17 seasons.

FORM

• Larkhall started pre-season with a 2-1 win on Saturday at Bitton. Freddie King’s deflected free-kick put them ahead inside two minutes with a trialist stabbing home an added time winner.
• This is City’s first outing of the summer.
