The festive fixtures continue tomorrow as City travel to London for a Vanarama National League South match against Hampton & Richmond Borough! Kick off – 3pm.
Jerry Gill’s Romans extended their long unbeaten home run on Boxing Day after coming from behind to beat local rivals Chippenham at Twerton Park and now face a resurgent Hampton & Richmond at the Beveree Stadium.
Hampton have had a Jekyll and Hyde 2019/20 campaign so far. Gary McCann’s Beavers won just two of their opening eleven games (which included a three nil defeat to the Romans at Twerton Park) but after a few key additions in the past couple of months have since become one of the league’s in-form sides. Now unbeaten in seven and residing in ninth, their eyes are firmly set above rather than below.
City’s last visit to the Beveree was back in August 2018, where Sean Rigg’s solitary first half strike earned all three points in the first away game of the 2018/19 season. A repeat of that result this time around would certainly help secure the Romans’ spot in third!
