Foundation and Family Day Saturday 18th March

On Saturday 18th March Bath City Football Club and its charity, the Bath City FC Foundation, are inviting local families to enjoy a home match against St Albans City at specially reduced prices. A family of four can enter for just £25 while all under-16s can enter for free (U11’s must be accompanied by an adult).

The Foundation and Family Day is aimed at enabling more families and young people to have a great football experience at Twerton Park and has been made possible by funding provided by a new partnership with The Roper Family Charitable Trust.

Children’s activities will be available at the event from 2pm and will include Beat-the-Goalie, face painting and an ice cream van. Bladud the Pig, the Club’s mascot will also be entertaining families before the 3pm kick.  At half-time, participants from the Foundation’s SWALLOW charity football group will have a five-a-side game on the pitch. James Carlin, CEO at Bath City FC Foundation said: “Our thanks to The Roper Family Charitable Trust for making this Foundation and Family Day possible.  It will enable us to introduce more people to the outstanding programme of opportunities we offer across Bath, not only through football and sport but also through wellbeing groups like Reconnecting Twerton.  We are looking forward to welcoming new families on the day and showing them how we supported over 2,350 people aged 4-94 years in the Bath community last year.  It will also be a great chance to get more people involved in the Foundation whether as participants in our groups, as volunteers or as potential partnership organisations to help us build on our progress in recent years.”

Jane Jones, Community Director at Bath City FC said: “We’re delighted to host this Family Day at Twerton Park alongside the Foundation and in partnership with The Roper Family Charitable Trust.  It will give the Foundation a great platform to raise awareness of the variety of sports projects they run to support adults and children across the Twerton community including Primary Stars, Man v Fat, Wildcats, Walking Football and other school and community-based programmes.   As a community owned club, we’re proud of the Foundation’s work and all it does locally by using community sport to improve the lives of people in Bath. I hope some new families will come and try out the Bath City FC experience and meet our friendly supporters who often bring their children along to matches.”

A reduced-price Family Ticket for two adults and two children on Saturday 18th March costs just £25. Plus all Under-16s can enter for free (U11s must be accompanied by an adult). Tickets are available www.bathcityfc.com/tickets
