Former City striker Jimmy Jenkins passes away aged 69

The Club are very sad to hear that former striker Jimmy Jenkins has passed away aged 69 following a long illness.

Jimmy joined the Club from Minehead in January 1978 and his signing by manager Brian Godfrey helped City to win the Southern League title that season. He scored 11 goals in 19 appearances including a hat trick against Cheltenham and the first in the title clinching victory at AP Leamington.

He was a first team regular for the next three seasons and after leaving the Club rejoined in 1982 before eventually signing for Frome Town.

In total Jimmy made 220 appearances for Bath City and scored 77 goals.

The thoughts of all connected with the Club are with Jimmy’s family and friends at this sad time.
