Braintree Town v City – Matchday Information

The Romans head to Essex again on Saturday for a Vanarama National League South fixture against Braintree Town! Kick off – 3pm.

The second-placed Romans march on to Essex for a leap year foray to 21st-placed Braintree Town. The Iron have endured a tough time at home in recent months, failing to register a league win since September, but they scored a good draw against visiting promotion contenders Weymouth recently and hit a 4-1 victory away at Oxford City. Their cause wasn’t helped, though, last Saturday with a 2-0 defeat at bottom-of-the-league Hungerford.

City were opening day of the season winners all the way back on 2nd August when Tom Smith and Ross Stearn hit the goals to secure victory against the visitors, marking a disappointing return to National League South for Braintree after relegation the previous season.
