City v Dorking Wanderers Matchday Information

On Saturday the Romans take on Dorking Wanderers in what is our nominated Anti-Racism Day fixture! Kick off – 3pm at Twerton Park.

Following a hard-fought win at St Albans last weekend, The Romans have risen back to 8th place, just a couple of points off the play-offs, while Dorking will be resuming action after a week off due to their scheduled league opponent’s FA Cup commitments. The Wanderers recently featured in The Guardian under the heading “Real life Championship Manager” following 11 promotions in 20 years, and have settled in well to the National League South following the most recent of those promotions from the Isthmian League this year.

Saturday gives City fans the chance to see new signings Dan Bowery and Noah Chilvers who both played the full 90 minutes at St Albans. With Frankie Artus completing the second full match of his comeback from injury, Adam Mann returning on field as a substitute and Dan Ball restored to the bench, the squad is also looking more settled.

We’re hoping for another strong crowd following the bumper 1,387 that turned out for our last home match. We have five different schools invited along on the day sure to add to the numbers – and noise level – so please come along and bring your friends and family.
