Tamzin Dunne’s hat-trick contributed towards Bath City Women’s biggest win of the season to date.

The winger’s treble, alongside strikes from Tara Taylor and Annie Hervey secured back-to-back successes and clean sheets for Matt Abreu’s side.

City got off to the perfect start when with just 90 seconds played Dunne was freed down the right and confidently dispatched past Tamzin McGill at her near post to settle any potential nerves.

Yasmine Moorehead lofted a great opening over for the hosts and it proved costly as the Romans doubled their lead on eight minutes.

Paige Owen’s testing corner saw Town caught napping and captain Taylor took advantage to smartly volley home from six yards.

It was effectively over eight minutes later when Tanea Wright capitalised on the Bristol side trying to play out from a goal kick, providing an assist for Hervey who half-volleyed home past the helpless McGill.

Town improved after the break without seriously testing Sophie Campbell before their defence was breached for a fourth time on 70 minutes.

Chelsea Giles’ exquisite close control allowed her to break clear, McGill did well to parry but was deflated to see Dunne convert the loose ball from an acute angle.

Olivia Dellow side-footed wide after good work by Ashanti Golding while at the other end Ceris Evans kept City’s shutout intact when she denied Emily Edwards on the line, whose shot on the turn on the rebound flew agonisingly wide.

The scoring was completed with a minute remaining. Emily Bristow timed her run well having out-paced the defence who initially thwarted her, but with goalkeeper McGill stranded, Dunne expertly looped the loose ball over her and into the empty net from 25 yards.

It capped off a fine afternoon for Abreu’s team who now have three contests at Twerton Park to look forward to.
