Richard joined City during the summer of 2026. His football career began at Forest Green Rovers as Matchday Media Manager in 2011 then Press Officer three years later. He joined Scott Bartlett’s backroom staff at the end of the 2014/15 campaign then the following season took on the role of First Team Video Analyst. Spells with Brimscombe & Thrupp and Redditch United followed in the same role before he spent three seasons at Cheltenham Town as Media & Communications Manager. In June 2022 Richard was appointed joint-first team manager of Hellenic League Premier Division side Thornbury Town before taking sole charge in October that year. He reunited with Scott in June 2023 at Weston Super Mare as Opposition Analyst.
