Next Match – Westbury United (A)

Bath City have an early kick-off this Saturday as they take a short trip down the A36 to Westbury.

The Romans will be continuing their local pre-season games in preparation for a promotion battle in the upcoming National League South season. Although United reside two divisions below your black and whites, another tough encounter is expected.

City’s last away game saw a competitive 2-2 draw against Tiverton Town and before that a 2-0 win over Frome Town. Manager Jerry Gill and his team will be hoping for more of the latter on Saturday as Frome and Westbury perform at the same levels. Last season they finished eighth and tenth respectively in Southern League Division One.

Dan Hayfield has hit the back of the net in two of the last three friendlies so let’s have faith he can carry on his goal scoring form at Platinum Hyundai Park. Also, a fourth clean sheet for Ollie Wright in goal would be an impressive feat as he starts his first full season at Bath.

Make the quick journey down and support the boys from the away end!
