Next Match – Poole Town (H) – Southern League Premier South

After safely progressing in two cup competitions during the last week City return to league action on Saturday with a fifth versus second meet-up against Poole Town at Cannon Clarke Stadium @ Twerton Park.

PREVIOUS MEETINGS

Bath City and Poole Town will do battle for the first time since 17 March 2018. In freezing conditions at the Tatnum Ground, goals from Sean Rigg, Andy Watkins, Tom Smith and Opi Edwards earned a comfortable 4-0 win, despite Anthony Straker’s late red card. Antoine Semenyo appeared as a late substitute in the comprehensive success as City completed the double over the Dolphins following a 1-0 win in August 2017 through Marvin Morgan’s goal. Poole were relegated from National League South at the end of that season and have played in Southern Premier South since.

This is the first time the two sides will meet in the Southern League since 1973/74. City won 2-1 at the old Poole Stadium before a 1-1 draw at Twerton where Jim McInch was on target.
