Meet Ian Hedges – Taking on Four Rides for Charity
We’re proud to be supporting lifelong Bath City supporter Ian Hedges as he takes on an incredible cycling challenge to raise funds for local charity Stepping Stones.
Ian has been following City for decades, and when he told us about his plan to complete not one, but four charity bike rides, we knew we had to get behind him. To help him on his journey, we’ve given him a Bath City shirt to wear with pride throughout his rides – carrying the stripes wherever he goes.
Ian’s story is one of determination and community spirit. Just a few months ago he didn’t even own a bike, but he rose to the challenge, started training hard, and has already lost over 35lbs. His final ride will be the ultimate test, travelling from John O’Groats to Land’s End.
All of this is in aid of Stepping Stones, a local charity that provides vital support for nursery-aged children with special educational needs.
Ian’s first ride takes place on 27th September, and we’ll be cheering him on every mile of the way.
