We welcome former England midfielder Tom Cleverley’s Plymouth Argyle to Cannon Clarke Stadium @ Twerton Park this Saturday for our next pre-season match of the summer, kick off 3pm.

PREVIOUS MEETINGS

This will be the sixth friendly between the clubs and first for 11 years. The last three have ended all square. All the games have taken place at Twerton Park. The last competitive games between the two were in November 1977 in the FA Cup 1st Round. A 0-0 draw in front of 7,866 at Twerton meant a replay two days later in Devon, which Third Division Plymouth won 2-0.

  • The last friendly was a 3-3 draw where City recovered from 3-0 down thanks to goals from Jon Davies, Dave Pratt and Andy Watkins.
  • Ryan Brunt netted for the Pilgrims that Friday evening. He went on to make 78 appearances for City, scoring 23 goals.
