Compassion at Christmas – Food Bank Appeal

Bath City FC have joined the Compassion at Christmas campaign this year, and are proud to support Bath Foodbank again with a festive appeal, helping to ensure people in our community don’t go hungry in these winter months.

Bath City FC Community Director, Joy Saunders said “It’s been a tough few months for many and so supporting Compassion at Christmas is more important than ever this year. We are delighted to put our community spirit into action and highlight the work of our local Foodbanks who make a tremendous difference to people’s lives in Bath and the surrounding areas. We have been overwhelmed by support in previous years and hope our fans will once again do us proud through their generosity.”

Feel free to mention Bath City FC in the comments section when you donate.

***Unfortunately, due to foodbanks being physically closed due to covid-19 restrictions we cannot accept food donations at the Club this year***

We’ve also joined the Compassion at Christmas campaign, which anyone can get involved in. The campaign hopes to inspire random acts of compassion, whilst helping reduce loneliness this time of year. There are two ways to get involved:

Christmas Day Call
Christmas Day can be a difficult enough time for those living alone, this year probably more than most. The Compassionate Community movement is inviting individuals and organisations to nominate people they know who would benefit from a half hour call to cheer them on the day, and recruit volunteers to provide this vital service – Apply to Volunteer

Compassionate Stars (especially great for children!
You can spread the word by colouring in the downloadable Compassionate Christmas Star (https://www.compassioncb.org.uk/) and display in your window. By using the hashtag #compassionatchristmas on social media posts you can inspire others with your acts of compassion.
