City Women hit Ridgeway for eight

Bath City Women recorded their biggest win to date with an 8-0 hammering of bottom side Ridgeway. Four goals in each half did the damage on the Dorset side, as seven different scorers for Matt Abreu’s team earned their first win of 2024. Abbie Gray bundled in a seventh minute opener with Amy Key firing home a second soon after. Key made it three with a lofted finish over Renee Marquis before Mils Bellotti rounded off the half with a fine free-kick. Hari Sabic won and scored a penalty on the hour after being tripped by Danielle Stone, before three goals in the final 12 minutes wrapped up the victory sweetly. Tanea Wright’s low drive slipped through the grasp of Marquis, Libby Goater rounded off a well-constructed move to poke past the home keeper before the best was saved until last as Emily Dellow superbly curled over Marquis from 18 yards with a first time strike. The first team are without a game next weekend.

The Development side drew 2-2 at Highridge. Debutant Anna Wilson put the Romans ahead, but they trailed at the break to the Bristol side. Salma Es-Slami Jimenez’s fine goal earned a draw to keep Tracey Hartnett’s charges in second, they host Highridge next week Sunday in Peasedown (KO 2pm).
