City versus Welling game postponed five minutes before kick off

City’s game at Welling United this afternoon was postponed five minutes before kick off. With little sign of the heavy rain that had been falling on the Park View Road pitch since mid-morning easing, and despite the best efforts of the Wings groundstaff, the two managers and referee agreed that the surface was unplayable. A new date for the game will be announced in due course.
