Business of the Week – Tim Weaver Books

Tim Weaver, our celebrated local author, will be attending the game between Bath City and Hungerford Town as part of his hospitality package linked to the shirt sponsors draw and what a wonderful Christmas present one (or more) of his books would make.

TimWeaverBooks.com is the official website for author and scriptwriter, Tim Weaver.

A former journalist, Tim’s 11-book thriller series about missing person’s investigator David Raker have all been Sunday Times Top 10 bestsellers, as was his recent standalone novel, Shadow at the Door. He’s sold over one million copies in the UK alone, has had no.1’s on Kindle, Apple iBooks and Audible, and is also the writer and presenter of an award-winning podcast series, Missing, about why people disappear and the ways in which they’re found.

First published in 2010, the David Raker novels have grown to become one of the UK’s most successful thriller series’. It has been described as “bliss” and terrific” by Jack Reacher creator Lee Child, while the Daily Mail refers to Tim as “one of this country’s most respected crime writers.” The Sunday Times put him in “the Premier League” when it comes to UK thriller authors, and The Guardian says his “books get better each time”. As well as that, he’s also been selected twice for the prestigious Richard and Judy Book Club, been nominated for a National Book Award and been shortlisted for the Ian Fleming Dagger.

As well as publicising his new book, The Shadow at the Door, and editing the latest Raker novel, The Blackbird, which comes out next year, Tim is also currently developing an original TV series he’s written with the drama company behind one of British TV’s biggest shows.

A life-long Bath City supporter, and a native of Bath, Tim has been attending matches with his dad and uncle since the start of the 1984 season.
