Bath City Women moved up to second place in the Somerset County WFL Division 1 table with a 3-1 win over Wells City Ladies at Twerton Park this afternoon. Emily Bristow opened the scoring on 10 minutes with a well-struck right foot shot. The goalscorer had to carried off shortly afterwards with an ankle injury and moments after Jade Whale had struck the crossbar the visitors levelled with a close range finish. City restored their lead right on the stroke of half-time when Koren Jones fired home from 18 yards for her first Romans goal. Then three minutes into the second half Annie Hervey struck her fifth goal of the season to make it 3-1. City comfortable kept Wells out after this to ensure their final home game of 2022 would end on a winning note. A full match report is available here and you can view photos of the game here.
