Away trip to Hampton & Richmond Borough

On Saturday we visit Hampton & Richmond Borough who finished last season in 4th place before losing on penalties to Braintree in the play off final. Our record against the Beavers is not the best – only two wins in ten against our relatively new opponents and only one point in the five visits to the Beveree Stadium. However we did come out on top in our last meeting at Twerton back in February and we will hope for a repeat of that result next week.

The ground can be described as homely with its collection of stands and the Junior Tuck Shop, and due to its small size and decent sized crowds there is usually a good atmosphere with the locals providing a friendly welcome.

A detailed description of the ground can be found at…

And the Hampton website has information for visiting supporters at…

As well as the clubhouse, there are several pubs within a short walk of the ground and this is probably the best club we visit if you fancy a stroll before the match, with the River Thames path and the delightful Bushy Park only a few minutes away. And any supporter wanting to arrive really early could take in nearby Hampton Court Palace as well!

Getting there

The 115 mile trip from Bath will take around 2.5 hours or you can let the Supporters Club coach take the strain. Full details of the coach, can be found at:

The train journey from Bath Spa will involve changes at Paddington and Waterloo and a ten minute walk to the ground from Hampton station.

Whichever means of travel you use to get to the match, have a safe journey and hopefully the reward of three points for the City!
