Next Match – Malvern Town (H) – Southern League Premier South
City’s busy autumn continues tomorrow evening when they welcome Malvern Town to Cannon Clarke Stadium @ Twerton Park for a Southern League Premier South meeting.
PREVIOUS MEETINGS
The common theme from this season continues – this is the first meeting between the sides. This is the highest level Malvern Town have played at in their history, the only time they were within a division of City before this year was 2006/07 when they finished 17th in Southern Division One Midlands.
TRIVIA
- Ryan Brunt is Malvern Town’s Player Director of Football. He made 78 appearances for City between 2018-2020, scoring 23 goals, the last in his final outing – a penalty in the National League South play-off eliminator loss to Dorking Wanderers in July 2020.
- He could be lining up against former teammates Harvey Wiles-Richards, Joe Raynes and Jack Batten.
- Ex-Romans stopper Charlie Binns began this season in goal for Malvern but has since returned to parent club Bristol Rovers. Jenson Kilroy is their fourth different goalkeeper this term.
- Malvern are one of four Southern Premier South sides that have already been eliminated in the FA Cup and Trophy following Saturday’s loss on penalties at Mickleover. Basingstoke, Bracknell and Havant & Waterlooville are the others.
- Dan Greenslade turned 31 on Monday. He’s seven away from another milestone – 200 appearances for City. Scott Wilson sits on 197.
FORM
- Bath City have won their last four in all competitions. They last won five in a row in August 2015 when they began the league campaign with six straight successes.
