Bath City (1) 1 Uxbridge (0) 2 – Saturday 29 August 2026 – Southern League Premier South – Cannon Clarke Stadium @ Twerton Park
Match Report by Mark Stillman.
Liam Prior-Tack’s 94th minute winner took Uxbridge to top of Southern Premier South and ended Bath City’s unbeaten record.
The substitute hammered home from close range to leave the hosts stunned.
Scott Wilson had fired City ahead but Francis Amartey levelled with 18 minutes remaining.
The visitors squandered the better chances in the second half before Prior-Tack couldn’t miss.
In a competitive opening, Ollie McCoy shot harmlessly on the turn for Uxbridge and Troy Perez-Duah’s effort swerved in front of Harvey Wiles-Richards who batted away.
For City, Ollie Chamberlain’s first time attempt sailed just over from the edge of the box and Kieran Parselle’s header was nodded off the line by George Moore as City frequently looked a threat from set-pieces, eventually making one count on 34 minutes.
James Morton, on his 100th appearance, floated a corner which Kieran Parselle headed towards Wilson, who swivelled and leathered home from eight yards.
Uxbridge refused to lie down after the break and missed a glorious opening when Perez-Duah teed up Moore but he sliced over from 10 yards.
They levelled on 72 minutes when Ollie Tomlinson’s defensive header fell kindly for Amartey, whose shot flew through Parselle’s legs and deceived Wiles-Richards.
Moore again came to the rescue to deny Tomlinson’s flicked header on the line, with the City centre-back also glancing Morton’s corner wide.
Prior-Tack should have put the visitors in front when Ciaran Martin capitalised on McCoy’s build-up play to lay off for the substitute, but he shanked wide from 12 yards.
He more than made up for it in added time to send his team and supporters into raptures.
Jake Coomes set McCoy away on the left with his first touch as a sub, but it looked like the chance was gone as Wiles-Richards parried his stinging effort.
It fell back to McCoy who played back across goal for Prior-Tack, who sidefooted into the roof of the net to make it 13 points from 15 available for Danny Edwards’ team.
Having been top of the table at half-time, the defeat for City leaves them in ninth ahead of Monday’s trip to Frome Town.
