Former player and manager Mike Burns passes away after long illness

Everyone connected with Bath City FC was very sad to hear of the recent passing of former player and manager Mike Burns following a long illness. Mike was a vital part of the 1977/78 Southern League title winning team before taking over as manager the following season. He led the side to the Southern League Cup in April 1979, beating rivals Yeovil Town in the final at their old Huish ground. He is pictured with captain Colin Tavener following that success.
