Bath City FC Community Update 2025/26

This season has seen Bath City continue to grow its impact off the pitch, strengthening our connection with the community and using the club as a way to bring people together and make a positive difference.

We were proud to welcome Bath Welcomes Refugees to Cannon Clarke @ Twerton Park, providing free tickets and a dedicated matchday experience. Supporting health and wellbeing has also been a key focus, working alongside local GP practices to offer smoking cessation support, as well as hosting flu and Covid-19 vaccination clinics on matchdays.

In the lead up to Christmas, supporters once again stepped up, donating food to support Genesis Trust Food Bank. We also partnered with Bath City Farm to deliver a community fixture that brought people together for a great day while raising important funds for our neighbours up the hill.

Across Bath and North East Somerset, we’ve been out in the community attending volunteer fairs, creating opportunities for people to get involved with the club and gain valuable experience. We’ve also been busy supporting the Pride in Place programme, hosting events and helping share important messages about the inception of this project which is going to bring important funds into Twerton and Whiteway.

We’ve continued to invest in the next generation, working with Bath City Youth to give young players the chance to step onto the pitch at half time and be part of the matchday experience. Alongside this, we supported the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal and provided raffle prizes throughout the season to support local schools and charities.

Listening to our supporters remains central to what we do. Through our “You Said, We Did” survey, we made clear improvements including installing a new TV in the bar and expanding the food and drink offer with Basil’s Bakery.

Behind the scenes, we supported the relocation of the Bath City Foundation within the ground, giving them a stronger base to deliver their work. This has helped them to expand fantastic projects such as Reconnecting Twerton, tackling social isolation in our community. Moreover, in partnership with the Foundation and Dorothy House, we supported the launch of Locker Room Chat, creating space for open conversations around men’s mental health, grief and loss, including the Men’s Walk to Support in March.

The work of the Bath City Foundation continues to make a huge difference across our community, delivering programmes that support physical and mental wellbeing, tackle isolation and create opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to get involved in football. From regular engagement sessions to targeted outreach projects, their impact continues to grow year on year. Here at Cannon Clarke @ Twerton Park, we also host the Bereavement Help Point, a friendly, supportive drop-in session for anyone coping with bereavement, run by the Foundation in partnership with Dorothy House and The Carers’ Centre.

Behind the scenes, the Foundation has also continued to create other opportunities for volunteers, including supporting the fantastic ball assistants across the season. The impact of Bath City FC player involvement has also been clear, with players from the Men’s and Women’s teams regularly engaging with the holiday camps, creating memorable experiences and real inspiration for young participants.

The Foundation rounded off the season with a successful Foundation Day, raising awareness and funds, and bringing together participants from their Walking Football, Swallows and MIND sessions, alongside the Pan Disability group, for a brilliant and inclusive day at the club.

You can read more about their work in their latest impact report here.

All of this work is only possible thanks to the continued support of our volunteers, staff and fans. Thank you to everyone who has supported this work over the season. It’s been a real team effort and something we’re proud to keep building on.
