Match Preview – Dorking Wanderers (A) – Enterprise National League South
City’s final away game of the 2025/26 campaigan takes place tomorrow with a trip to Surrey to face a Dorking Wanderers side looking to take their title challenge into the final day of the season.
PREVIOUS MEETINGS
This will be City’s second trip to Meadowbank this season. Last December saw Darren Way’s team deservedly progress on penalties in the FA Trophy. Pat Casey’s first goal for Wanderers was cancelled out by Jordan Alves’ fine free-kick before City were faultless from the spot to earn a tie with Southend United. Last year’s league encounter in Surrey saw Jason Prior’s early header prove enough in a 1-0 victory for the hosts.

TRIVIA
- Scott Bartlett was in the dugout for Weston-super-Mare’s 3-1 win at Dorking in January 2025 – Marc White’s 1000th game in charge of Dorking.
- Former City midfielder Sam Pearson is currently on loan at Dorking from Eastleigh. As is Paul McCallum, loaned to the club during Bartlett’s stint as Eastleigh boss.
- This is the first league game City will play as a relegated club since April 2012, a 2-1 loss at Alfreton Town in their final match in the Conference Premier (now National League). Scott Murray marked his retirement with a consolation penalty.
- There will be a guard of honour before the game to mark Tony Craig’s retirement from the game after 845 career appearances, which ended with three years at Dorking.
- City will be in their red away kit with Dorking also sporting away colours of all black.
FORM
- Dorking Wanderers have lost their last three. If they don’t beat City on Saturday and Worthing defeat Maidstone, Marc White’s side cannot win the league.
- Bath City have won two of their last four league games but are looking for their first away success of 2026.
