Match Preview – Torquay United (A) – Enterprise National League South
City will head down to the English Riviera tomorrow for an Easter Monday meeting with Torquay United at Plainmoor.
PREVIOUS MEETINGS
City have lost their last three matches at Plainmoor by a goal to nil, with ex-Roman Cody Cooke the match winner just over a year ago in front of 5,202, the biggest attendance City have played in front of in National League South. This season’s meeting at Twerton, both clubs’ final game of 2025, ended goalless. The Stripes haven’t won away to Torquay since December 1926, an era where City played the Gulls’ reserves more frequently than the firsts. The Romans haven’t scored in their last four visits to Plainmoor, they last did in January 1975 in a Western Counties League 2-2 draw where Glyn Broom and John Fairbrother were on target.
