Crowdfunder Extended: One Last Push to Improve the Pitch

With just a few days left on our crowdfunder, we wanted to share an important update, and a big opportunity.
Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve already achieved something huge as we secured the funding needed to unlock the floodlight grant. That work is now scheduled for May, and it’s a major step forward for the club.
But we’re not stopping there. We want to build on this momentum and give the team the best possible platform going into next season. That’s why we’re extending the crowdfunder until 3rd May, the final fixture of the season for our teams.
Our next priority is about quality, consistency, and giving the teams the best chance to play great football week in, week out. We are now aiming to raise the final £12,000 to carry out vital pitch improvement works ahead of next season.

What will this funding do?
If we reach our target, we will improve the drainage by installing sand bands (narrow trenches every 26cm, filled with sand) across the whole of the pitch. This will enable the water to drain off the surface much more effectively and reach the underlying drainage system, instead of sitting on top of the grass.
In addition, we will be installing a new drain to collect excess water from the Popular Side (Bristol End) and de-compacting and re-turfing the area near the Grandstand Side (Bristol End) – both areas that have caused issues this year.
All of the above will ensure a stronger, more resilient playing surface.
This season has shown how much the pitch impacts everything. Put simply, this gives us our best chance of playing great football next season.
If we don’t raise this £12,000, we won’t be able to carry out this work.
Every donation, no matter the size, directly contributes to improving the pitch and supporting the teams.
Help us start the next season on the front foot.
Thank you, as always, for your support.
