Celebration of Women and Girls’ Football – November 29th

Bath City Football Club is coming together to celebrate every part of the women and girls’ game on Saturday 29th November, as we open the gates to all girls aged 16 and under for free entry to our home match against Enfield.
The day will be a full celebration of the female football journey across the Bath City family — from our youngest youth players right through to our senior women’s team.
At half time, Bath City Women will take to the pitch alongside girls’ teams from Bath City Youth to parade the silverware they lifted last season, recognising a brilliant year of success across the women’s and girls’ game in Bath. It’s a moment to showcase what’s being achieved right here in our community — by players who wear the same badge, share the same passion, and represent the same club.
After the match, the celebrations continue in the Charlie’s Bar where we’ll be showing the Lionesses’ game live on the new big screen. There’ll be Happy Hour prices running after the final whistle to encourage everyone to stay, relax and support England’s women together.
Jane Jones, Director of Women’s Football at Bath City, explained the inspiration behind the event:
“When our women’s team won the Somerset Junior Cup last season, we always intended to celebrate and show off the trophy at a men’s match. But I quickly realised that across the Bath City Family, women and girls have a lot to celebrate — from our youth teams to the Foundation’s women and girls’ programmes. We’ve chosen this match as it coincides with the Lionesses game, so it’s the perfect chance to bring everyone together. We want it to be a fun, inclusive day that celebrates female football and the progress we’re all making together.”
This celebration is more than a matchday initiative — it’s a reflection of what Bath City stands for. Our men’s, women’s, and youth teams are all part of one club, sharing the same values, the same home, and the same supporters. When we support one, we strengthen all.
So come and be part of it. Bring your friends, your family, and your voices. Let’s fill Cannon Clarke Stadium @ Twerton Park with pride, energy, and unity — and show that Bath City truly stands together.
