Bath City Women open league campaign with battling Bitton draw

Bath City Women opened their 2025/26 league campaign this afternoon with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Bitton Ladies at Cannon Clarke Stadium @ Twerton Park. Despite the difficult weather conditions the sides produced an entertaining encounter with a share of the points a fair outcome. Both goals came from corners in the second half. City struck first four minutes after the interval. Tara Taylor’s cross was sliced into her own net by Hopton under pressure from Abby Gray. Bitton levelled with 15 minutes remaining as Woodley-Marshall’s delivery was neatly steered in by substitute Jones.
