Striker Owen joined City at the end of October 2025. After playing at youth level for Swindon Town and Southampton he began his senior career with Cirencester Town in 2018. He impressed sufficiently to be offered a two-year contract with West Bromwich Albion in June 2019. He spent loan spells with Cirencester, Taunton Town, Grimsby Town, Newport County and Grimsby Town before being released at the end of the 2021/22 season. He joined Chippenham Town in February 2023 then moved onto Chester in November that year. Short spells with Marine and Leek Town followed before he headed to Australia to play for MetroStars.
