UPDATE: FA Trophy tie against Southend United postponed

FURTHER UPDATE: This afternoon’s game has been called off by the match referee. Concerns over an off-pitch area and general pitch deterioration were raised. The decision was made with priority of player safety in mind.

UPDATE (Saturday morning): Good news for everyone heading to the game. After our inspection this morning, we can confirm the pitch is match-ready. There was a slight ground frost, but the covers have done their job.

Tickets are available on the gate, or you can still buy online. We’re raring to go and ready for the challenge, and can’t wait to welcome you in.

A big thank you to our grounds team, including Kai and Zac from Bath Rec, for their hard work.

We carried out a pitch inspection this afternoon and the pitch is currently in a playable condition. To stay ahead of any overnight cold, we have covered parts of the pitch as a precaution.

We will carry out a final check at 9am tomorrow morning.

We are already in contact with the match officials and, should there be any concern at that point, they will be asked to attend and assess immediately. At this stage though, everything is pointing firmly in the right direction.

We will provide a further update tomorrow morning following that inspection.

All being well, we are looking forward to welcoming everyone to Cannon Clarke Stadium @ Twerton Park tomorrow.
