Match Preview – Street (H) – Francis Hillier Premier Cup Quarter Final
City go in search of a semi-final place tomorrow evening when they face Western League side Street at Cannon Clarke Stadium @ Twerton Park in the Francis Hillier Premier Cup.
PREVIOUS MEETINGS
The clubs were in the same division between 1911/12-1913/14, but all other meetings have been in cup competitions. Tuesday will be the fourth this century – City defeated the Cobblers 5-2 in November 2000 and 3-2 in October 2008 at the Tannery, but the last meeting in November 2015 saw the Western League side produce a shock 3-1 win at Twerton thanks to goals from Dale Hunt, Steve Murray and Craig Herrod. Frankie Artus netted from the penalty spot in response, all four matches since 2000 have been in the Somerset (now Francis Hillier) Premier Cup.

- The 2015 defeat saw Jim Rollo make the last of his 484 appearances for the club, with former Somerset CC all-rounder Peter Trego deputise in his only outing for City.
- Sam Allison netted two in the 5-2 win over Street in 2000. He’s since refereed in the Premier League.
- City have won 20 of their last 22 SPC ties against Western League opposition. The only outright defeat was against Street in 2015.

- Street, 14th in Jewson Western Premier, drew 2-2 at Buckland Athletic on Tuesday. They have overcome Step 6 sides Keynsham Town and Hengrove Athletic to reach the last eight.
