It is Student Night at Cannon Clarke Stadium @ Twerton Park this Tuesday with the visit of AFC Totton for a vital Enterprise National League South clash.

City host AFC Totton for just the second time in their history. The previous encounter was played almost exactly 16 years ago – 24 October 2009 – in the FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round. The Romans, then two divisions above the Stags, looked set for comfortable progress to round one thanks to goals from Richard Evans, Adam Connolly and Gethin Jones inside 47 minutes. However the visitors refused to give in and Nathan Jack’s deflected effort pulled one back on 87 minutes before Jamie Whisken netted in added time. Totton had a penalty shout turned down as City held on, in a memorable cup run which eventually ended in the second round at home to Forest Green Rovers.
