Match Preview – AFC Totton (A) – Enterprise National League South

City head to the South coast tomorrow evening for their rearranged Enterprise National League South meeting with mid-table AFC Totton.

PREVIOUS MEETINGS

In a game City must win to keep alive slim hopes of survival, Tuesday will be the club’s first away fixture against AFC Totton. The Romans have won both at Cannon Clarke Stadium @ Twerton Park – the latter was October’s fine 2-0 win thanks to goals from Brad Ash and Kieran Parselle. The other was an FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round tie in October 2009 where Richard Evans, Adam Connolly and Gethin Jones put City 3-0 up against the-then Step 4 side, who pulled two back late on through Nathan Jack and Jamie Whisken to set up a nervy finale.

TRIVIA

  • Jimmy Ball and Darren Way would have been in opposition dugouts had the fixture taken place on its scheduled February date. Both are now at Torquay United.
  • If Joe Raynes features it’ll be his 250th league appearance for the club. He provided two assists in the reverse fixture and set up two at the weekend as well.

FORM

  • AFC Totton have collected 72% of their points at home this season. They’ve won two of their last three including a 2-1 success over Dorking Wanderers on Saturday to seriously derail the latter’s title bid.
  • Bath City have won their last two home games, including the weekend’s eye-catching victory over Chesham United, but are searching for their first away success of 2026.
