Corsham Town Women (1) 1 Bath City Women (0) 0 – Sunday 9 November 2025

Match Report by Mark Stillman.
Former Roman Shannon Redhouse netted the only goal of the game as Corsham Town edged out Bath City.
The striker, who rejoined the Robins after a brief stint at Twerton earlier this year, proved the difference as Matt Abreu’s side fell to defeat despite a promising display.
Bex Fry and Adella Clarke both shot too close to Lily Lewis before City were hit with a sucker punch.
A nicely weighted pass over the top from debutant Ruby Hopkins saw Redhouse dart down the left and evade Abby Gray, before superbly dinking the ball over the diving Lucy Clay and in off the post from an acute angle.
Sydney Buell should have made it 2-0 when Ruby Nolan’s through ball deflected into her path, but her attempted chip over Clay bounced a yard wide.
City were desperately close to levelling just past the hour.
Substitute Emma Vilday found Jasmine Rennie on the left, her cross was batted away by Lewis to Taylor, whose centre was somehow taken away from Vilday’s toes by Charlie Cowper.
Fry’s corner was nearly forced home by Clarke as last-ditch defending bailed out the hosts, before the Romans were nearly caught on the break in searching for a leveller.
With numbers piled forward, Clay scuffed a backpass straight to Chauntine Lyons in added time but she wastefully side-footed wide one-on-one.
It didn’t cost the Wiltshire outfit, who made it five wins from five to keep up the pressure at the top.
City will look to return to winning ways at Stockwood Wanderers on Sunday 16 November (ko 2pm).
