As for Rio, when he's on form he's a great captain, it's the rest of the time which is worrying Capello is a good manager and he put Terry first, Rio second and Gerrard third for a reason, and like he said there is no need to change that order, therefore vice-captain becomes captain

Totally agree It is hypocritical to get rid of a player for off the field misdemeanors and then appoint a guy with a much worse off the field record and more importantly a ban for skipping a drugs test. Besides being a bad role model, Rio is also a liability in an England shirt. He makes one major cock-up in most matches and you cannot afford to do that in a World Cup Finals tournament. He is also injury prone and has played little football this season. He should not have been an automatic choice for the team given his lack of form and fitness but now, unfortunately he cannot be left out.
