In my opinion the leading elbow on Gethin was a straight red offence..

all I ask from the referee's is consistency. clearly the referee did not have this today. the offence was at least a 2nd yellow. ref bottled it. had it not been for ryan's legs, the dirty no.9 would have scored too

I was sitting near the Dover directors. I heard one mutter under his breath "Don't foul Shaun". Must of the time I heard them being frustrated in general. I agree that the number 9 was lucky to stay on the pitch. The ref wasn't great and I think both sets of supporters and players were getting fed up. The game just didn't flow and just became a 90 minute frustrator. The noises of the fans around the ground said it all.

It may appear refs are worse at our level, but they make mistakes everywhere.

Take Martin Atkinson doing the Merseyside Derby. Pienaar should have been given a straight red instead of a first yellow if Atkinson is to give Kyrgiakos his marching orders.

I'm all for respecting officials, but you need to earn your respect. If they want players/managers/fans to leave them alone, maybe they should give a fulltime interview, letting us know why they did what they did. I would certanly be interested to hear our ref today explain his decision not to dismiss their no.9.

Had Hogg done an identical foul (and had already been booked), would he have been as lucky?

I was convinced that the referee was going to send Welford off after the elbow incident as he put his hand to his pocket. It definately looked like he bottled it. It was a strange refereeing performance, I thought he was excellent at the beginning of the match and then went downhill fast. His hand signals leave a lot to be desired as he pointed at the penalty spot as a way of indicating that a defender won the ball!

That was truly bizarre. Really thought we had won a penalty there.

At least he knew the difference between a throw in and a freekick.... unlike a cheating Dover player

reading their forum it was apparently our players trying to get the donkey no.9 sent off - bloody gethin and dutch must stop hitting forwards elbows with their faces deliberately

i think there is a 'truro' element to their support - having spent the last few seasons winning virtually every game - and no doubt reminding all opposition fans of their superiority whilst doing it - it must come as a shock when teams don't just roll over and lose even when they play pretty poorly and their outlet to this is being obnoxious (which at least is an improvement on truro's more violent reaction) either in person or on their forum

Also sounds like their number 9 is an innocent victim every week and refs just pick on him. Of course! It's all the referee's fault. That must be it.

One of their officials in the main stand (the one who Werdna is referring to probably) came across as being horrible and obnoxious. Ok, the ref made a few strange calls, but this bloke disagreed with literally every single one, even the most obvious of fouls. He wasn't afraid to have his say that's for sure, but didn't like it if someone had the nerve to maybe question his opinion. Got on my nerves so much that I spent the second half in the comfort of the press box.

Thought we were pretty fortunate to escape with a point but think Roger is being over-critical (not for the first time). I expect Dover to make the play-offs comfortably, quite surprised at how they've leaked a fair few goals this season, most out of the top nine I believe.
