Sorry Roger,I really enjoyed the game today, the personal battles were great.
Dover are a good team, you can't dominate every game and score 5,there were a lot of things we could improve on,having a left winger with a left foot being one of them.
:dontknow:
UP THE CITY!!! Eh Rog  .

can't argue with that

missed hogg and connolly was wasted out wide left

but given how poor we played not unhappy with a point

I agree on that one,but I think Dover are a good team,so less time on the ball.
I thought the ref was giving them everything.

Lewes was by far the worst home game of the season. I thought today's game was entertaining at most parts, especially the second half. A point is great result against Dover. Neither teams looked like scoring, although I don't think that the game was aloud to flow. I thought Edwards and Douglas were very lucky not to see yellow cards. Looked like they dived from my point of view. Connolly's fall in the box looked a bit 50/50 to me. Would have been harsh to award a penalty. The defence looked strong. Great to see Coupe back on the pitch and looked good as the Captain (and he looked good as the captain when City played Willand Rovers). I can't see him lasting much longer at City. He's not getting the games at the moment which is clearly frustrating him.

I thought it was a good game against one of the top sides in the league.

Apart from Newport, thought Dover were the best all round side I have seen at TP this season. How the hell they lost 6-2 at Lewes God only knows..... :confused2:

o dear :( not a bad result against dover though. It sounds like two good teams cancelled each other out. What was the crowd today?

Fair play to Dover they were much better than us and their support deserves credit for making so much noise for much of the game. We certainly lacked width, skill, composure, basically everything going forward, so am happy with the point.

not sure appeared too be about 600, less than expected seeing as though there were about 50 dover fans

Too much faffing with the ball when it was in the box instead of shoot, shoot, shooting. The major highlight of the game was waiting in anticipation to see how long it would take Douglas to end up on his arse, think it was less than a minute after he came on,great stuff :laughing1:

Agree with Bobby's take.On the one hand we were lucky to get a point against a side with a better workrate and more creativity.....despite this, we engineered 3 good penalty shouts and the first one might well have been given but for Darren's over elaborate tumble as he was clearly given a two handed shove in the back...also we should have been playing 10 men..their number 9 should have gone for that second elbowing...the worrying aspect for me was that with very little to deal with from our front pairing they were able to push a defender up into midfield where they were totally dominant....it took too long to bring on Coupey and change our own shape to combat them...
