A very generous donation and a couple more promises has boosted the fund yet further....it is ring fenced and ready for Adie to use to add to the funds budgeted for to try to get the very best striker we can.Alongside the players we already have an out and out hitman could well propel us to promotion. We look a decent outfit with the team spirit as good as ever.Keep the monies coming in.

Well, to update you all, the grand total to date in donations received and ongoing pledges made stands at £3481 and rising.....this is already adding up to an extra £100 a week at Adie's disposal which could make all the difference....if you believe a top striker would make all the difference to our prospects please keep funds flowing in...the total so far, in straightforward giving from people already paying through the turnstiles is a fantastic testament to how much City means to you wonderful fans.Every little helps.Look forward to hearing from anyone who can help in any way.

Just an update to remind people that a total of about 3.5 k in pledges and donations is available to help Adie get the right man if and when the chance presents itself. Please consider adding to the fund if you possibly can...every little helps. If such funds had been there last season it would have enabled us to sign DCB....hopefully there is another double barrelled hitman out there to complement our existing strike force and fire us up the league.

Thos fund is a great odea and I'm pleased that it will be spent wisley rather than just handed over. If the right man does not come along soo, or this season even, why not keep collecting, we minght need it next season?

Think has been mentioned elsewhere but can some of the fund be used to put Florin on a contract, even with a league get out clause and if only to end of season.
Many benefiits...
More chance of progressing further in cup = helps profile, feel good factor and finances.
Having a better quality player on field means we will create more chances, score more goals, win more games and attract more fans, again helping finances.
With all this positivity around, hopefully a quality striker would want to get on board on terms we can afford, but also encourage more to donate to the hitman fund.
We need to act quickly though (assuming, perhaps wrongly, that we haven't already).

I'd be open to this kind of idea if Adie approached us, but, given that folk have chipped in on the basis that it is ring fenced specifically for a striker, we would have to consult subscribers and adher to their wishes. If we could sign Florin and flog him to a league club in the january window it would be shrewd business but, what if we signed him and he got injured....

The same goes for any player BUT if a player has been injury plagued in the past, the likelihood of recurrent injuries increases exponentially.

Fair point Lord, but we need to also show faith and hope that this is repaid in continued excellent performances, along with the benefits I have already listed. Perhaps the contract would not need to be as high (and more affordable to us) because of the chance we have given Florin and his apparently injury prone past. Also if have understanding that may move to League club if given chance. I will continue to trust Adie, the boards and, of course, Lord Bear's judgement

Then again an injury prone or an injured player will fit in well - they usually get given contracts!

I like your siggy Bonzo.....I reckon a clinical finisher like Birdy would clean up with the number of chances we are creating this season.
