Cundy red card overturned on appeal

City are pleased to announce that following an appeal hearing at the FA today the red card received by Robbie Cundy against Chelmsford City last Saturday has been rescinded. Video evidence provided by the club showed that the defender did not foul the Chelmsford forward and the referee made a ‘clear and obvious mistake’ in awarding a penalty and sending him off. The decision lead to the only goal of the game. Cundy will not now receive a one match ban and be available for Saturday’s return to Essex to face East Thurrock United.
